Having worked with K.Hughes & Co. for over 40 years within the Agri Food Sector, PMcK were selected as the electrical contractor for the new High Care Facility at the existing K. Hughes Site.

A new food production facility built onto the existing build meant a series of carefully planned and implemented electrical engineering stages. The main incoming NIE 11kv OH  Supply had to be diverted, whilst maintaining power to the site 24,7. A new switchroom and generator distribution centre had to be built to allow this to happen, whilst also diverting critical services such as Data/IT, Fire Alarm.

PMcK were also responsible for the diversion and maintaining of the compressed air services at the site.

The new Facility was constructed to exacting standards as expected in a high care food production area, with chemical and water wash dowm
In Tandem a new energy centres incorporating CHP and Biomass units was installed , providing electricity along with heat and a low carbon heat and power solution.
